Have my dentist appoinment tomorrow.

I have a bit of a dentist phobia. It all started when my old dentist (who, strangely gave kids chocolates and lollipops, which must be great for teeth,not) retired, and the woman who replaced him decided that, considering i need 2 shots of injections for my mouth to numb, she would put a filling in without the injection.

Needless to say, i changed dentists. My next one was great, but left. I then decided i was fine, and not need a dentist.

And then i had problems, and now i have a new dentist. He's ok, so hopefully i will be be ok when it comes down to the treatment starting.

All in all, i have started to conquour my dentist phobia.

A little post about my Grandma.

My Grandma, Amy, and i were very close. She looked after me a lot when i was a kid, and, even though she's been dead for 15 years, i still miss her sometimes.

She was very quiet. In fact her nickname was "little shy", but she also had a mean temper, and wouldn't hesitate to stand up for herself and her family.

She was also very nosy. I remember when i was a kid, we went away on holiday, and when she discovered that all the keys and locks were the same, she would actually go into other people's rooms and look around. And i had to keep watch.

She would attend every school play and concert that i was in. She was so proud of me. Even when she was ill, and couldn't leave the house, she asked for videos and photos of plays and concerts, so she could watch me in them.

I didn't grow up with my dad around, but i had my mum and grandma, so i was lucky. My grandma was a strong and quirky woman, and i was honoured to have the chance to get to know her.

My guilty pleasures number one.

I loved Ricky Martin back in the day. I admit, i still play his greatest hits album to this day. There is just something about his music that makes me happy.

Songs like 'Livin' la vida loca' and 'she bangs' and the super-infectious 'Shake your bon bon' just make me happy. They make me wanna dance around like the crazy woman i am.

And he did some really beautiful songs too. 'She's all i ever had' and 'come to me' are two of my favourites too, and 'Be careful' with Madonna is fantastic too. And i love 'Nobody wants to be lonely' with Christina Aguilera, too.

It was a shame his fan base grew up /went off him / realized they didn't have a chance with him since he's gay, but whatever it was, it's a shame. I think Enrique is great, but doesn't have that latin pop vibe Ricky had. And i miss him releasing song's over here.

I write everyday.

I always write something everyday, regardless of what it is.

I write blog posts, short (sometimes VERY short) stories, fan fictions, poems, song lyrics (i can't play anything, or read/ write music, but i get a tune inside my head and i write the words to go along with it).

I have even started thinking about writing book and dvd reviews.

I also have a few longer stories i'm working on as well. I can't just work on one thing at a time. I love mixing up my writing projects, and write a scene for each story, and a fan fic or shortetr story in between.

I would love to be a best selling author one day.

At the moment, i am writing a LOT of Monkees fan fics. My mum's friend has let us borrow her dvds of the show, and i am getting a lot of idea's. I may share them on some fan website's.

Basically, i have an addicted to writing. It's one of my favourite things to do.

What would Marilyn do?.

Marilyn Monroe is my idol. I think she was inspirational and under-rated as an actress, and as a singer.

Anyhow, i have picked Marilyn as my muse. Whenever i have a moment in my life when i am un -decided about something, i ask myself one important question.

"What would Marilyn do?".

I find that if i 'step away' from a problem, and look at it from another point of view, then i tend to come up with answers more quickly, and make better choices (something i learnt from my CBT) and i pick Marilyn as my view-point. It sounds crazy, but it really does work for me.

I love country music.

I am a not -so -closeted country music fan. I love the stories and the sadness and the drama in the songs.

I love Dolly Parton's music. She's wrote some amazing song's. I also love the country diva's, like Martina McBride, Leann Rimes, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Carrie Underwood. I think they are all amazingly talented with beautiful voices.

I love Keith Urban too. And Tim McGraw. I really don't listen to many male country artists, as i relate to the women's songs more, but i love these two singers, and their voices.

I was a fan of Mindy McCready too, back in the day. 'Oh Romeo' is another favourite country song ever. It's sad she's gone.

I also love the Dixie Chicks. No matter what they say and do, i will forever remain a fan of the girls.

I would love to go to Nashville someday, and just embrace the whole country music scene. That would be cool.

Leann Rimes. She is still a fantastic singer.

Everything i read about her now is all connected to Eddie Cibrian (Is that how you spell his name?) and his ex wife. And her rehab stint.

But, i wonder if people have forgotten that she is a fantastic singer. I mean 'How do i live' is a beautiful song, and, as much i love Trisha Yearwood, i think Leann's version is better just because of how lovely her voice is.

And 'Blue' is one of my all -time favourite country songs ever.

Yes, i know that she had an affair that wrecked 2 marriages, and i know my opinion of her as a person went down a little after that, but i kinda wish the media would just let that go and concentrate on what she is known for, and what her fans love her for. Her singing.
