The Monkees song 'Circle sky'.

This is another song that i love. It's from the band's only movie (which i still haven't seen) and it's a country-rock song.

That's why i love it so much. I love country and rock music, and Mike/Michael Nesmith was a pioneer in making country-rock music. He was also a pioneer in making music video's. Not bad for a guy who was in a make-believe tv band.

Of course, The Monkees are so much more than just a make believe tv band, but that's for another post.

Anyway, back to the excellent 'Circle sky', it's sung by Mike, and i think it's one of the best song's ever recorded. The live version is even better than the original. Worth a listen to either if you get a chance.

'Drag me to Hell' is excellent.

I watched this for the first time the other night, and i have to say that it's probably gonna be one of my favourites, as i loved it, and wanna get the dvd so i can re-watch it whenever i want.

I didn't find it scary at all. I did find it really funny, though. It has a bit of gunge in it, but i grew up loving 'Fun House', so for me gunge is good :) it has virtually no blood in at all (one scene does have a little blood in it, but it's funny as opposed to being gory) and it's fun to watch.

I also loved the main character and her boyfriend. They seemed like nice people (i know they're not real, but still...) and i actually cared about what happened to them.

This is a fun movie. I loved it, and would watch it a million times over. I think even people who don't like standard horror movies will like this, as it's not full of gore or blood.

The Wallflowers 'empire in my mind'.

I think this is my favourite song ever. Word's can't describe how much i adore this song.

It was used as the theme for the 2nd and 3rd season's of the very good U.S drama 'the guardian' (starring a pre-mentalist Simon Baker), and that's how i discovered this song.

I have heard this song was written especially for the show, and if not then it matched the theme of the show excellently.

The song has a lot of meaning, and is about doing right and wrong. It's about someone who is maybe about to do the wrong thing and wondering why he's doing it.

It makes a lot more sense if you ever listen to the song. Or even just read about 'the guardian'. They both match up perfectly.

Jakob Dylan is a brilliant song-writer and singer. He is up there amongst one of my favourites ever.

Some quotes from 'The Monkees' tv show.

The title explains it all, really.

Peter: I don't think you're guilty, i just don't see how you could possibly be innocent.

Micky: I'm glad you cut out the part where i tripped, 'cause that wasn't a very good scene at all.

Davy: Oh 'ello. I'm selling magazine subscriptions.
The General: Oh, working your way through college, eh?.
Davy: No, i'm working my way down the block.

Peter: What did i do?.
Mike: I don't know man, but don't do it again.

Micky: We're going to try to scare you, so don't be scared.

Micky: Pick a number between one and ten.
Mike: Um, fourteen.

Peter: Is it true that there are no two glove prints alike in the world?.

Micky: We just came here to have our clothes ripped off.

Mike: You wanna read my palm?.
Micky: Nah, i'll wait 'til they make it into a movie.

Micky: Stand up, Davy, and show them how tall you are.
Davy: I am standing up.

Mike: Do you know we haven't worked in a month?.
Peter: Gee, it seem's more like four weeks.

Some 'Monk' quotes.

I LOVE Monk. It's a very quotable show. Here's some of the best quotes that were used in the show.

Natalie: It's not going to do us any good if we both panic.
Adrian: You're right. Let's take it in turns...i'll go first.

Adrian: You are a doctor, can't you make her come back?.
Dr. Kroger: What would you like me to do?. Fly back to New Jersey and drug her and bring her back here?.
Adrian: No, thank you. She's pretty smart. She would probably escape.

Adrian: I can't talk now. I'm trapped in a cave.

Adrian: And if it wasn't you, they would just hire some other bim...
Natalie: 'Some other' what?. Bim what?.
Adrian: Bimportant person.

Natalie: He did it.
Adrian: He's not even a suspect.
Natalie: Damn.

Stottlemeyer: The, um, wife filed a complaint against me, said i had been harrassing her.
Adrain: Why would she say that?.
Stottlemeyer: Uh, probably because i was harrassing her.

Stottlemeyer: This taste's like chalk.
Adrian: What's in it?. Chalk extract.

L&O:CI goodbye Zach and Serena. Spoilers maybe.

Just finished watching the 9th season of 'Law and Order: Criminal Intent', and i have to say i enjoyed season 9.

Granted, the majority of the season was a Bobby and Alex free zone, but i really enjoyed the chemistry of Zach and Serena, and Jeff Goldblum and Saffron Burrows really seem to get along really well, and they work really well together, and i am actually quite sad to see the end of their characters.

I have to admit, i have turned into a bit of a Zack and Serena shipper. I wrote a little fan fic about their relationship.

But, the plus side is that we should have Bobby and Alex back for the 10th (and final) season. It's only right that it should go out the way it came in, with Bobby (hopefully) getting back to his quirky crime-solving best.

Some memorable 'Justified' quotes.

The show is full of great dialogue, this is just a few of my favourite quotes.

Raylan: You didn't happen to bring a rocket launcher, did you?.
Boyd: I didn't think to pack one.

Ava: Why did your marriage end?.
Raylan: It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Art Mullen: Maybe he's become some vigilante.
Raylan: Hmmm, maybe he's Batman.

Gary Hawkins: Raylan? you're not wearing your hat.

Ava: Didn't the district attorney order you to stay away from Boyd?.
Raylan: It was more of a suggestion.

Dickie Bennett: I seen you and your big hat on tv the other day.
Raylan: How did it look?.
Dickie: Like always.

Dewey Crowe: I can't drive handcuffed to the damned steering wheel.
Raylan: You'll get the hang of it.
